Jared Boomhower gave the Deseronto Storm a 7-6 (OT) victory over the Campbellford Rebels when he scored 4:40 into the extra period.

Deseronto overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Storm fell behind 6-3 after a goal by Campbellford's jeremy dorghty at 9:34 in the third period. Deseronto tied things up at 6-6 on a goal by Brandon Turner at 16:35 in the third period.

nick ferguson was all over the ice for the Storm, as he tallied two goals and three assists in the win. Ferguson scored the first of his two goals at 3:15 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Campbellford. Boomhower assisted on the tally. ferguson's next tally made the score 3-2 Campbellford with 16:04 left in the second period. Boomhower picked up the assist.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 14:03 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Deseronto bested its season scoring average. This season, the Storm average 2.1 goals per contest.

Deseronto additionally got points from Boomhower, who also racked up two goals and two assists. Chris Rogalsky also scored for Deseronto. Other players who recorded assists for Deseronto were Jack Garrow, who had two and Kirby Maracle, Mitchell Thompson, Mitch Goodfellow, and Mitch Burkitt, who each chipped in one.

The Rebels avoided man-down situations well, registering one major for five minutes in penalty time. Campbellford finished below its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. The Rebels' offense rang up 51 shots on Deseronto's net.

Campbellford was helped by Andy Paul, who registered two goals. Paul scored the first of his two goals at 6:05 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Campbellford. Cole Hamilton provided the assist. Paul's next tally made the score 5-3 Campbellford with 12:12 left in the third period. A holding penalty on Noah Sager had put the Rebels on the power play. Ryan Crowley picked up the assist. Campbellford also got a goal from Mitchell Merry as well. More assists for Campbellford came via Derek Shields and Grant Fry, who contributed one a piece and Steven Clarke and Jordan Boutilier, who each chipped in two.

Matt Lovelys made 45 saves for the Storm on 51 shots. Deseronto totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and had no power play opportunities. For the Storm, Brett Bateman was ejected from the game. Kevin Valdas rejected 17 shots on goal for Campbellford. The Rebels registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Campbellford ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jon Samis was ejected from the game.
