Picton downs Napanee, 3-0

Brian Bunnett tallied one point to lead the Picton Pirates to a 3-0 victory over the Napanee Raiders.

Picton stifled Napanee's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Pirates were held below their usual level of production. Picton averages 5.7 goals per game. The Pirates kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Josh Lasher made 36 saves on 39 shots.

Picton also got points from Kenny Murduff, who also registered one goal and one assist and Taylor Brown, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Picton received assists from Nolan Powers, Geoff Cleminson, Evan Greer, and Ryan Sizer, who each chipped in one.

Napanee's offense operated below it season average. The Raiders put an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game.

Picton's Andrew Pearson stopped 23 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Pirates incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Napanee incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
