The Napanee Raiders fell behind early, and the Picton Pirates kept piling on the points on the way to an 11-0 victory. Picton got the win on the strength of a great game by Jack Davison, who had four goals and three assists. Davison's first goal came 11:51 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:37 into the second, at 12:51 into the third, and at 16:11 into the third. Napanee's power play was ineffective against the Pirates' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Picton forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. The Pirates surpassed its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. Picton made the Raiders' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 52 shots and forcing 41 saves. Kyle Copeland made 21 stops and Josh Lasher made 20. The Pirates put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Napanee to score on any of its six power plays. Picton outdid its season average for goals scored. The Pirates average 5.9 goals per game. Picton also got points from Brian Bunnett, who also racked up two goals and two assists, Kenny Murduff, who also registered two goals and one assist, Taylor Brown, who also tallied one goal and three assists, and Chris Jones, who also had one goal and two assists. Picton also got a goal from Clint Aussprung as well. More assists for Picton came via Ryan Sizer, who had three and Brandon Peever, Calum Kennelly, and Tye Eaton APM, who contributed one a piece. The Raiders' offense operated below they season average. Napanee puts an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. Andrew Pearson recorded 20 saves for Picton. The Pirates registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Picton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Devin McCann was ejected from the game. The Raiders ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For Napanee, Matt Marino was ejected from the game.
