Behind a great game by Brian Bunnett, who had two goals and one assist, the Picton Pirates defeated the Deseronto Storm, 4-1.

Picton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Deseronto power plays. The Pirates' offense rang up 69 shots on Deseronto's net.

Picton additionally got points from Chris Jones, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Picton also got a goal from Devin McCann as well. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were Taylor Brown, who had two and Miles Levtov and Ryan Sizer, who each chipped in one.

The Storm were led by Mitch Burkitt, who scored the team's only goal. Burkitt scored 6:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Deseronto. Jared Boomhower assisted on the tally.

Andrew Pearson made 24 saves for Picton on 25 shots. The Pirates incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Deseronto's Matt Lovelys stopped 65 shots out of the 69 that he faced. The Storm incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
