Huge game by Paterson (APM) boosts Campbellford over Napanee, 5-2Campbellford-Seymour CC Fri, Nov 29, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
TJ Paterson (APM) had two goals and one assist to lead the Campbellford Rebels to a 5-2 victory over the Napanee Raiders. Paterson (APM) scored at 9:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Campbellford and again while short handed 15:43 into the second to make the score 4-0 Campbellford.Campbellford forced Raiders' netminders to work all game long, taking 45 shots and forcing 40 saves. Josh Lasher made 23 stops and Kyle Copeland made 17. Others who scored for Campbellford included Mitchell Merry, Andy Paul, and Griffin Rupnow, who scored one goal each. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Jordan Boutilier, who had two and Cole Hamilton and Kenny Turcotte, who contributed one a piece. Napanee could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Raiders average 4.1 goals per game. Napanee kept the Rebels' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Mahoney made 32 saves on 34 shots. The Raiders were helped by Blade Grigg, who grabbed one goal. Grigg scored on the power play 15:02 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Campbellford. A unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Derek Shields had put Napanee on the power play. Bud Norris picked up the assist. Ryan Casselman also scored for Napanee. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Alex Leclerc, who had one. Campbellford incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Raiders incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
