Picton's Bunnett deadly on offense in 3-1 win against CampbellfordPrince Edward Thu, Nov 14, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Brian Bunnett had two goals to lead the Picton Pirates to a 3-1 victory over the Campbellford Rebels. Bunnett scored on the power play at 15:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Picton and again while 13:40 into the second to make the score 3-1 Picton.Picton pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes. The Pirates' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Campbellford power plays. Picton could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Pirates put an average of 5.5 pucks into the net per game. Picton's offense rang up 32 shots on Campbellford's net. Ryan Sizer also scored for Picton. More assists for Picton came via Brandon Peever, Jack Davison, and Evan Greer, who each chipped in one. The Rebels managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Campbellford finished below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. The Rebels' offense operated below they season average. Campbellford averages 4.5 goals per game. The Rebels were led by Andy Paul, who scored the team's only goal. Paul scored 3:15 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Andrew Pearson made 23 saves for the Pirates on 24 shots. Picton registered one goal on one power play opportunities. Cole Mahoney rejected 29 shots on goal for Campbellford.
