Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Uxbridge Bruins defeated the Georgina Ice in a shootout 4-3 (2-1 SO).

The two teams needed eight turns to complete the shootout. Georgina's shootout goal was scored by Jonathon Colley. Uxbridge also got a shootout goal from Jarett Smith.

The Bruins overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Uxbridge fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by the Ice's JD Leblond at 2:41 in the second period. The Bruins tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Korey Brand at 5:29 in the third period.

Uxbridge pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

The Bruins were helped by Smith, who had one goal. Smith scored on the power play 9:14 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Georgina. A tripping penalty on Brock Boyd APM had put Uxbridge on the power play. Connor Beck assisted on the tally. Uxbridge also got points from Brand, who also registered one goal and one assist. Uxbridge also got a goal from Carter Vahey as well. More assists for Uxbridge came via Matt Trudel, who had two.

Georgina was helped by Carver Ormiston, who racked up one goal. Ormiston scored 13:29 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Georgina. Colley also scored for Georgina. Other players who recorded assists for Georgina were Cameron Nuttall, Kyle Bricknell, and Jody Nonnewitz, who contributed one a piece.

The Bruins registered three goals on eight power play opportunities. For Uxbridge, Jeremy Toupin APM was ejected from the game. The Ice incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
