Little Britain downs Georgina in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Little Britain Merchants pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Georgina Ice on a clutch goal by Pat Hamilton.

Little Britain nearly gave up a two-score lead. The Merchants made the score 3-1 on a goal by Kyle ODonnell at 6:19 in the second period. Georgina got to within 3-2 on a power play goal by Brett thiessen at 7:27 in the third period.

Little Britain was sparked by Hamilton, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hamilton scored on the power play 4:41 into overtime to make the score 4-3 Little Britain. A holding penalty on Jonathon Colley had put the Merchants on the power play. Kurtis Moore picked up the assist.

Little Britain kept the Ice's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ethan Slimowitz made 33 saves on 37 shots.

Little Britain additionally got points from Moore, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Riley Jenkins also scored for Little Britain. More assists for Little Britain came via Terry Snodden, Brent Foster, Brett Doble, and Cash Cormier, who contributed one a piece.

The Merchants were unable to stop Georgina from sending pucks towards the net, and the Ice eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Georgina was led by Carver Ormiston, who tallied one goal and one assist. Ormiston scored on the power play 27 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Thiessen assisted on the tally. Georgina also got points from thiessen, who also registered one goal and one assist. Georgina also got a goal from Jody Nonnewitz as well. In addition, Georgina received assists from Aidan Comparelli and Brandon Brown, who each chipped in one.

Justus Husak rejected 29 shots on goal for Little Britain. The Merchants incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Ice incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
