The Lakefield Chiefs took the lead against the Little Britain Merchants in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 5-4 victory.

Derek Manley provided Lakefield with the game-winning tally when he scored 10:16 into the the first period. Gregory Jesse picked up the assist.

Jesse had two goals and two assists to lead the Chiefs. Jesse scored the first of his two goals short handed at 6:03 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Lakefield.
