Little Britain falls to Clarington in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Clarington Eagles pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Little Britain Merchants on a clutch goal by Rory Craddock.

Clarington overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Eagles trailed 2-0 after a goal by Little Britain's Jesse Craig AP at 8:54 in the first period. Clarington tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Cody Kean at 16:28 in the second period.

Craddock had two goals to lead the Eagles to victory. Craddock scored on the power play at 2:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Little Britain and again while 4:31 into the fourth to make the score 3-2 Clarington.

Clarington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Little Britain power plays. The Merchants were unable to stop the Eagles from sending pucks towards the net, and Clarington eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The defensemen of the Eagles were also effective in Little Britain's zone, and came away with two goals.

Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Morisette APM Mack, who had one.

The Merchants were helped by Nate Huhges, who had one goal. Huhges scored 7:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Little Britain. Greg ONeil picked up the assist. More assists for Little Britain came via Lucas Hickey AP, Curtis Lee, and Aidan Renouf, who each chipped in one.

Connor Visca recorded 27 saves for Clarington. The Eagles incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Clarington, Thomas Garrity was ejected from the game. Little Britain's Garrett Haden stopped 39 shots out of the 42 that he faced. The Merchants incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
