The Little Britain Merchants lost to the Clarington Eagles, 5-2.

Clarington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Eagles forced Little Britain goalie Justus Husak to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots.

Clarington was helped by Riley O'Connell, who tallied one goal. O'Connell scored 9:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Clarington. Jesse Hewak picked up the assist. Clarington also got points from Dylan Howorko, who also had one goal and one assist, Mitchell Burghardt APM, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Brad Down, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Clarington also got a goal from Shawn Murza as well. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Cole Murray, Jake Choiniere, and Jarod Holister, who contributed one a piece.

The Merchants were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 28 penalty minutes.

Little Britain was led by Ben Marquis, who registered one goal. Marquis scored 16:19 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Clarington. Kurtis Moore assisted on the tally. Cash Cormier also scored for Little Britain. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Lucas Hickey AP and Kyle ODonnell, who each chipped in one.

Connor Visca made 21 saves for the Eagles on 23 shots. Clarington incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Husak rejected 47 shots on goal for the Merchants.
