The Georgina Ice tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Clarington Eagles would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

Clarington made the score 5-3 on a goal by Brad Down at 6:15 in the third period, and Georgina got as close as 5-4 when Dylan Kovacs scored 9:54 into the third period.

Clarington additionally got points from Jarod Holister, who also registered one goal and one assist. Cody Kean also scored for Clarington. More assists for Clarington came via Mitchell Burghardt APM, who had two and Mitchell Marchbank and Jesse Hewak, who each chipped in one.

The Eagles were unable to stop the Ice from sending pucks towards the net, and Georgina eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.
