The Georgina Ice tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Clarington Eagles would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. Clarington made the score 5-3 on a goal by Brad Down at 6:15 in the third period, and Georgina got as close as 5-4 when Dylan Kovacs scored 9:54 into the third period. Clarington additionally got points from Jarod Holister, who also registered one goal and one assist. Cody Kean also scored for Clarington. More assists for Clarington came via Mitchell Burghardt APM, who had two and Mitchell Marchbank and Jesse Hewak, who each chipped in one. The Eagles were unable to stop the Ice from sending pucks towards the net, and Georgina eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Georgina also got points from Jesse Johnston, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Georgina also got a goal from Zachary Hawkins as well. In addition, Georgina received assists from JD Leblond, who had two and Brandon Basler, JP Contento, and Luke Vanderkooy, who contributed one a piece. Clarington's Josh Cole APM stopped 40 shots out of the 44 that he faced. The Eagles incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Ice's starting goalie, Tyler Richardson, made 21 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Jake Francis, who stopped zero shots. Georgina incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
