The Port Perry Mojacks tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Clarington Eagles held on for a 2-1 victory. Clarington took a 2-0 lead during the third period, only to have Port Perry storm back on a Kyle Powell goal 2:12 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Eagles were led by goalie CJ Sharp, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. Sharp managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.44 prior to the game. Clarington was helped by Mitchell Burghardt APM, who tallied one goal. Burghardt APM scored 31 seconds into the third period to make the score Clarington. Blane Gaudon picked up the assist. Clarington also got a goal from Thomas Garrity as well. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Dylan Howorko, who had two. The Mojacks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Eagles to score on any of their seven power plays. Port Perry did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Mojacks put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Port Perry's offense rang up 32 shots on Clarington's net. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Logan Evans and Lee Taylor, who contributed one a piece. The Eagles incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jeff Julien recorded 27 saves for the Mojacks. Port Perry incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
