The Georgina Ice survived a determined comeback attempt by the Little Britain Merchants on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Luke Vanderkooy put Georgina up 3-0 in the second period, but Little Britain pulled to within one on Brett Doble's tally 16:57 into the third period.

The Ice's penalty kill excelled, as Georgina gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

The Ice stifled the Merchants' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Georgina kept Little Britain's goalie busy throughout the game, and Garrett Haden made 38 saves on 41 shots.

The Ice were helped by JP Contento, who tallied one goal. Contento scored 10:19 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Georgina. Ryan Kernahan assisted on the tally. Brandon Brown also scored for Georgina. In addition, Georgina received assists from JD Leblond, Brett thiessen, Jonathon Colley, and Tyler Richardson, who each chipped in one.

Georgina was unable to stop the Merchants from sending pucks towards the net, and Little Britain eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Little Britain also got a goal from Ben Marquis as well. More assists for Little Britain came via Nate Huhges and Greg ONeil, who contributed one a piece.

Richardson rejected 41 shots on goal for the Ice. Georgina incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Ice, Contento was ejected from the game. The Merchants incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Little Britain ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lucas Hickey AP was ejected from the game.
