Port Perry downs Little Britain, 5-1Scugog Memorial Arena Sun, Oct 06, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Jeff St. Pierre racked up two points to lead the Port Perry Mojacks to a 5-1 victory over the Little Britain Merchants. Port Perry excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Mojacks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Port Perry also got points from Tyler Jennings, who also had one goal and one assist. Colton Hawko also scored for Port Perry. More assists for Port Perry came via Conner Shingler, who had two and John St. John, who had three. Little Britain was led by Terry Snodden, who scored the team's only goal. Snodden scored 13:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Port Perry. Aidan Renouf picked up the assist. Drew Siydock made 17 saves for Port Perry on 18 shots. The Mojacks totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major and went 2-for-7 on the power play. Port Perry ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Nichols was ejected from the game. Justus Husak took the loss and made 16 saves before being replaced by Garrett Haden who made six saves. The Merchants ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and three majors. For Little Britain, Brock Beers APM, Renouf, and Greg ONeil were ejected from the contest.
