yAurora downs Pickering, 5-1

Taylor McCloy had two points to lead the yAurora Tigers to a 5-1 victory over the Pickering Panthers.

yAurora excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Tigers' offense rang up 46 shots on Pickering's net.

yAurora additionally got points from Dylan Sikura, who also registered one goal and one assist, Michael Laidley, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Robert Angiolella, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alex Gilmour also scored for yAurora. In addition, yAurora received assists from Kory Kennedy, who had two and Michael Keenan, Tyler Boston, and Calvin Higley, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers stifled yAurora's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pickering's offense operated below it season average. The Panthers put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Kevin Entmaa made 22 saves for the Tigers on 23 shots. yAurora incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Steven Dombrosky recorded 41 saves for Pickering. The Panthers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
