xCobourg falls to xGeorgetown in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The xGeorgetown Raiders' Steven Mueller scored 1:19 into overtime to beat the xCobourg Cougars, 3-2 (OT).

xGeorgetown overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Raiders trailed 2-0 after a goal by xCobourg's Connor Armour at 19:57 in the first period. xGeorgetown tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Steve Hladin at 3:49 in the third period.

The Raiders were led by Mueller, who registered one goal.

xGeorgetown stifled the Cougars' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. xCobourg was unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and xGeorgetown eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

xGeorgetown also got a goal from Scott Emerson as well. More assists for xGeorgetown came via Phil Kiss, who had one.

The Cougars made the Raiders' goaltenders to work all game long, totaling 35 shots and forcing 33 saves. Michael Singh made 18 stops and Michael McNiven made 15.

Landon Schiller also scored for xCobourg. In addition, xCobourg received assists from Alex D Oliveira, Ryan OGrady, Liam Grande, and Taylor Gauld, who each chipped in one.

xGeorgetown incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Raiders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kyle Allan was ejected from the game. xCobourg's Mathieu Ouellet stopped 33 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Cougars incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
