The xWellington Dukes had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over the xCobourg Cougars.

xWellington surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Dukes average 3.6 goals per contest. xWellington was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Teichmann rejected 20 shots on goal for the Dukes. xWellington incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors. xCobourg's starting goalie, Nathan Perry, made 14 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Mathieu Ouellet, who stopped one shot. The Cougars incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
