Hladin's big game bests Toronto in 6-0 Georgetown win

The Georgetown Raiders' Steve Hladin had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-0 win over the Toronto Junior Canadiens.

Hladin notched his first tally 5:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:00 into the first, at 24 seconds into the third, and at 3:16 into the third.

Michael McNiven frustrated Toronto's offense all game, and stopped 34 shots en route to a shutout. McNiven managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.39 prior to the game.

Georgetown made the Junior Canadiens' goalies to work between the pipes, getting 40 shots and forcing 34 saves. Nathan Colitto made 10 stops and Daniel Lopapa made 24. The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Toronto power plays. Georgetown's defense was surprisingly good. The Raiders gives up 3.0 goals on average per game. Georgetown surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Raiders average 3.4 goals per game.

Georgetown additionally got points from Steven Mueller, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Kyle Allan also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Tyler MacPherson, Ryan Smith, Liam Board, and Phil Kiss, who contributed one a piece and Liam Clare, Anthony Marra, and John Adams, who each chipped in two.

Toronto's offense operated below it season average. The Junior Canadiens average 3.3 goals per game. Toronto forced Georgetown goalie McNiven to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.
