Fabrizio Ricci gave the Trenton Golden Hawks a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Wellington Dukes when he scored 4:23 into the extra period.

Trenton got the win with help from a great game by Tyler Mayea, who had one goal and three assists. Mayea scored on the power play 3:04 into the third period to make the score 2-2. The Golden Hawks earned a power play opportunity when Andrew McCann was put in the box for tripping. Mathew Thompson assisted on the tally.

Wellington was unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

Trenton also had goals scored by Tyler Donaldson and Danny Liscio, who each put in one. In addition, Trenton received assists from Dylan Savory, who had one and Zach de Concilys, who had two.

The Dukes were helped by Steven Deeg, who tallied one goal. Deeg scored on the power play 12:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. Wellington had gained a power play chance when Ryan Kinsella was whistled for slashing. Kyle Paat provided the assist. Wellington also got points from Paat, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Luc Brown also scored for Wellington. More assists for Wellington came via Erick Delaurentis, who had two and Chad Thibodeau and Andrew Coupland, who contributed one a piece.

Denny Dubblestyne rejected 27 shots on goal for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Trenton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Seldon was ejected from the game. Tyson Teichmann recorded 40 saves for the Dukes. Wellington incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
