Kingston falls to Whitby in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Alex Adams gave the Whitby Fury a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Kingston Voyageurs when he scored 1:47 into the extra period.

Whitby's Boyd Diclemente was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Diclemente certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.86 entering the contest.

The Fury were sparked by Adams, who had one goal.

Whitby excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Fury could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Whitby puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Kingston was unable to stop the Fury from sending pucks towards the net, and Whitby eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Jeff Murray also scored for Whitby. More assists for Whitby came via Mike Panowyk and Taylor Best, who contributed one a piece.

The Voyageurs were held below their usual level of production. Kingston averages 3.6 goals per game.

The Voyageurs were led by Brett Seney, who scored the team's only goal. Seney scored 17:06 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Kingston. Jarret Kup provided the assist.

The Fury incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sam Tanguay rejected 36 shots on goal for Kingston. The Voyageurs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
