Toronto Lakeshore survives Hamilton comeback, wins 5-3

The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Toronto Lakeshore and clinched a 5-3 victory.

The Patriots led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Toronto Lakeshore's Luke Carter's scored at 2:34 in the third period to put the Patriots up 4-1.

Nathan Feric had two goals and one assist to lead Toronto Lakeshore. Feric scored the first of his two goals at 4:55 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Doug Bonar assisted on the tally. Feric's next tally made the score 3-1 Toronto Lakeshore with 19:47 left in the third period. Rory Bell picked up the assist.

The Patriots kept the Hamilton Red Wings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Corey Foster made 31 saves on 36 shots.

Toronto Lakeshore also got points from Marcus Rose, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Lakeshore were Niko Kovachis, who had three.

Hamilton was led by Mitch Reid, who had one goal and two assists. Reid scored on the power play 10:45 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Toronto Lakeshore. The Red Wings had gotten the advantage when Toronto Lakeshore's Feric was sent off for cross checking. Alex Zaccaria assisted on the tally. Hamilton additionally got points from Corey Caruso, who also registered one goal and one assist. Hamilton also got a goal from Nathan Gomes as well.

The Patriots' Jeremy Helvig stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Toronto Lakeshore incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hamilton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
