A four-goal first period deficit cost the Orangeville Flyers, which could not recover and fell to the North York Rangers, 11-2. North York got the win thanks to a great game by John Carpino, who had four goals and one assist. Carpino got on the scoresheet 4:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 10 seconds into the second, at 4:39 into the third, and at 15:57 into the third. Orangeville fell victim to a deadly the Rangers power play, which ripped the Flyers for four goals.
