Valadao Adam gave the North York Rangers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers when he scored 22 seconds into the extra period. Although North York was up by as many as two goals in the third period, St. Michaels kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Buzzers got to within 4-3 on a goal by Ian Edmondson at 14:07 in the third period. Adam had two goals to lead the Rangers to victory. North York stifled St. Michaels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North York additionally got points from Fung Zachary, who also registered one goal and one assist and Liam Kerins, who also finished with one goal and one assist. North York also got a goal from Corey Kalk as well. In addition, North York received assists from Gabriel Valenzuela, Alex Leader, and Jamie Wilson, who each chipped in one and Power Brody and John Carpino, who contributed two a piece. The Buzzers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rangers to score on any of their three power plays. St. Michaels forced North York goalie Jason Pucciarelli to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. The defensemen of the Buzzers were also effective in the Rangers' zone, and came away with two goals. St. Michaels was helped by CJ Shugart, who had one goal. Shugart scored 19:10 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Luca Doctor assisted on the tally. St. Michaels also got points from Jordan Schneider, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Thomas Beretta also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via David Italiano, Matt Alvaro, Angelpooulos Peter, and Mike Lansdowne, who each chipped in one. North York's Pucciarelli stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Victor Adamo made 21 saves for the Buzzers on 26 shots. St. Michaels incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
