Huge game by Supryka boosts Wellington over Kingston, 5-1Wellington CC Fri, Dec 06, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Behind a great game by Josh Supryka, who had one goal and two assists, the Wellington Dukes defeated the Kingston Voyageurs, 5-1. Supryka beat Alex Brooks-Potts with a shot 1:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. Kyle Paat picked up the assist. Supryka dished an assist on Steven Deeg's goal that made the score 4-1 Wellington at 5:10 into the third period. He added another helper on Joe McKeown's goal that made the score 5-1 Wellington at 18:24 into the third period.Wellington was led by goalie Tyson Teichmann, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Teichmann certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.58 entering the contest. The Dukes made Kingston's netminders to work without much rest, racking up 40 shots and forcing 35 saves. Brooks-Potts made 19 stops and Sam Tanguay made 16. Wellington also got points from Erick Delaurentis, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Deeg, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Mike Soucier also scored for Wellington. More assists for Wellington came via Luc Brown and Parker Wood, who each chipped in one. The Voyageurs were held below their usual level of production. Kingston puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. The Voyageurs were led by Michael Crocock, who scored the team's only goal. Crocock scored 19:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jarret Kup assisted on the tally. Wellington incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kingston incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Voyageurs, Blake ONeill was ejected from the game.
