Pickering erases deficit to stun Hamilton, 4-3Mountain Arena Mon, Dec 02, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Hamilton Red Wings could not hold down the Pickering Panthers, and Panthers erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 4-3 win. Pickering never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Panthers trailed 3-1 after a goal by Hamilton's Alex Zaccaria at 9:08 in the third period. Pickering tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Brodie Tutton at 16:32 in the third period. The Panthers netted the game winner at 19:18 in the third period on a goal by Tutton. Pickering was led by goalie Steven Dombrosky, who finished with 34 saves while allowing one goal. Dombrosky certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.03 entering the contest. The Panthers stifled the Red Wings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pickering forced Hamilton goalie Mark Sinclair to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. The Panthers were helped by Mark Tenuta, who tallied one goal and one assist. Pickering also got points from Tutton, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Pickering also had goals scored by Michael Walker and Nicholas Lepone, who each put in one. In addition, Pickering received assists from Robert Cammalleri, who had two and Tanner Shaw, Mike Nedoszytko, and Michael Giacometti, who contributed one a piece. The Red Wings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Pickering power plays. Hamilton's offense rang up 42 shots on Pickering's net. Hamilton also got a goal from Corey Caruso as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hamilton were Ryan Laufman and Chance MacDonald, who each chipped in one. The Panthers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
