Toronto Lakeshore falls to Aurora in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Robert Angiolella gave the Aurora Tigers a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots when he scored 3:16 into the extra period.

Aurora nearly gave up a three-score lead. The Tigers made the score 3-0 on a goal by Kory Kennedy at 11:11 in the second period. Toronto Lakeshore pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Doug Bonar at 5:08 in the third period.

Aurora was sparked by Angiolella, who finished with one goal and one assist.

The Tigers made the Patriots' goalies to work without much rest, firing 35 shots and forcing 31 saves. Mark Manolescu made 10 stops and Jeremy Helvig made 21. Aurora cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Aurora additionally got points from Eric Williams, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Aurora received assists from Taylor McCloy, Tyler Boston, Dylan Sikura, Mihkel Poldma, and Calvin Higley, who each chipped in one.

Toronto Lakeshore also had goals scored by Andreas Tsogkas and Jacob Hayhurst, who each put in one. More assists for Toronto Lakeshore came via Kevin Shier, who had two and Marcus Rose, Lior Goldenberg, and Nicholas Ursitti, who contributed one a piece.

Kevin Entmaa rejected 22 shots on goal for the Tigers. Aurora incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Toronto Lakeshore incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
