Kingston rips St. Michaels, 4-1INVISTA Center Thu, Nov 28, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kingston Voyageurs had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the St. Michaels Buzzers. St. Michaels was stymied by Kingston netminder Alex Brooks-Potts, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. Brooks-Potts certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.36 entering the contest. The Voyageurs were led by Blake ONeill, who tallied one goal. ONeill scored on the power play 14:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kingston. Kingston had taken the advantage when the Buzzers' Jake Evans got sent off for slashing. Mike Crocock picked up the assist. The Voyageurs made Buzzers' goaltenders to work between the pipes, finishing with 50 shots and forcing 46 saves. Victor Adamo made 16 stops and George Argiropoulos made 30. Kingston was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Others who scored for Kingston included Adam Moodie, Adam Brady, and Michael Casale, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Brett Seney, who had two and Brandon O Quinn, Jarret Kup, and Brett Du Puy, who each chipped in one. St. Michaels did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Buzzers put an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. St. Michaels' offense rang up 35 shots on the Voyageurs' net. The Buzzers were led by Matt Alvaro, who scored the team's only goal. Alvaro scored 16:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Kingston. Mike Lansdowne assisted on the tally. Kingston incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. St. Michaels incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Buzzers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Angelpooulos Peter was ejected from the game.
