Trenton downs Stouffville, 4-0

Ryan Kinsella grabbed one point to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 4-0 victory over the Stouffville Spirit.

Trenton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Stouffville power plays. The Golden Hawks' defensive play was more effective than usual against Stouffville. Trenton averages 2.8 goals allowed per game.

Trenton also had goals scored by Tyler Donaldson, Hunter Fargey, and Brady Wiffen, who scored one goal each. More assists for Trenton came via Jason Zaleski, Nick Boddy, Zach de Concilys, and Nick Santoro, who each chipped in one and Tyler Mayea and Mathew Thompson, who contributed two a piece.

The Spirit excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Stouffville's offense operated below it season average. The Spirit put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Denny Dubblestyne made 23 saves for the Golden Hawks on 23 shots. Trenton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Stouffville's Daniel Mannella stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Spirit incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
