O Quinn leads Kingston over Trenton, 6-3

Brandon O Quinn had two goals and three assists to lead the Kingston Voyageurs to a 6-3 victory over the Trenton Golden Hawks.

O Quinn scored on the power play at 14:13 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Kingston and again while 19:15 into the third to make the score 6-3 Kingston.

Kingston made Trenton's netminders to work all game long, ripping 31 shots and forcing 25 saves. Denny Dubblestyne made 16 stops and Emerson Verrier made nine. The Voyageurs stifled the Golden Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kingston's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Voyageurs average 3.3 goals per contest.

Kingston additionally got points from Cole Bolton, who also had one goal and one assist and Alex Tonge, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kingston also had goals scored by Wyatt Cota and Brett Du Puy, who each put in one. In addition, Kingston received assists from Adam Brady, who had two and Andrew Fullerton, Adam Moodie, and Brody Heleno, who contributed one a piece.

Trenton forced Kingston goalie Alex Brooks-Potts to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. The Golden Hawks' penalty kill unit could not stop the Voyageurs' power play, which converted on two of three opportunities.

Trenton was led by Hunter Fargey, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Fargey scored 4:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton. Mathew Thompson assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Trenton included Tyler Donaldson and Zach de Concilys, who scored one goal each. More assists for Trenton came via Tyler Mayea, Fabrizio Ricci, Jason Zaleski, and Brady Wiffen, who each chipped in one.

Brooks-Potts recorded 32 saves for Kingston. The Voyageurs incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Golden Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
