Andrew McCann netted a hat trick to lead the Wellington Dukes over the Georgetown Raiders, 7-5. McCann's first goal came 9:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:13 into the third and at 12:03 into the third.Wellington forced Raiders' goalies to work all game long, firing 50 shots and forcing 43 saves. Michael Singh made 33 stops and Michael McNiven made 10. The Dukes surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Wellington averages 3.6 goals per game. Wellington also got points from Mike Soucier, who also registered one goal and one assist and Spencer Turcotte, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Wellington also got a goal from Trevor Cope as well. More assists for Wellington came via Parker Wood, Abbot Girduckis, Joe McKeown, Kyle Paat, Trevor Abbot, and Steven Deeg, who contributed one a piece and Andrew Coupland and Jacob Hetherington, who each chipped in two. Georgetown kept the Dukes' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyson Teichmann made 39 saves on 44 shots. The Raiders were helped by Liam Board, who had two goals. Board scored the first of his two goals at 18:42 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Georgetown. Liam Clare provided the assist. Board's next tally made the score 5-4 Georgetown with nine seconds left in the second period. Georgetown earned a power play opportunity when Turcotte was put in the box for interference. John Adams picked up the assist. Georgetown additionally got points from Adams, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Georgetown also had goals scored by Scott Emerson and Phil Kiss, who each put in one.
