The Georgetown Raiders used a sparkling performance by Michael McNiven to take down the Stouffville Spirit, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Georgetown's 2-0 shutout victory. The Raiders were led by John Adams, who finished with one goal. Adams scored on the power play 3:19 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown. Georgetown earned a power play opportunity when Michael Carcone was put in the box for hooking. Liam Clare assisted on the tally. The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Stouffville power plays. Georgetown's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Raiders allow 3.0 goals per game. Georgetown kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Mannella made 33 saves on 35 shots. Nicolas Lavoie also scored for Georgetown. McNiven recorded 44 saves for Georgetown. The Raiders incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Georgetown, Ryan Smith was ejected from the game. The Spirit incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
