Mathew Thompson had two goals and one assist to lead the Orangeville Flyers to a 5-2 victory over the Hamilton Red Wings.

Orangeville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hamilton to score on any of its three power plays. The Flyers forced the Red Wings goalie Corey Foster to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Orangeville outdid its season average for goals scored. The Flyers have scored at the pace of 2.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Hamilton was led by Chance MacDonald, who registered one goal and one assist. MacDonald scored 13:17 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Orangeville. Cole Poliziani picked up the assist. Hamilton also got a goal from Corey Caruso as well. In addition, Hamilton received assists from Mitch Reid and Matt Smith, who contributed one a piece.

Wyatt Pickrell recorded 27 saves for Orangeville. The Flyers totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. For Orangeville, Kyle Thacker was ejected from the game. The Red Wings' Foster stopped 27 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Hamilton ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Red Wings ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and MacDonald was ejected from the game.
