The North York Rangers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Pickering Panthers on the way to a 3-2 win. North York made the score 3-1 on a goal by Brandon Ku at 12:53 in the second period, and Pickering got as close as 3-2 when Brodie Tutton scored 37 seconds into the third period. Ku was all over the ice for the Rangers, as he racked up two goals in the win. North York stifled the Panthers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North York also got a goal from John Carpino as well. More assists for North York came via Patrick Piacentini, who had one and Valadao Adam and Liam Kerins, who contributed two a piece. Pickering put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rangers to score on any of their four power plays. Ian Chen APM also scored for Pickering. Other players who recorded assists for Pickering were Mike Nedoszytko, who had two. North York's Jason Pucciarelli stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. North York ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Power Brody was ejected from the game. Steven Dombrosky recorded 27 saves for the Panthers. Pickering incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Panthers, Matteo Condotta was ejected from the game.
