Kingston boosted by Brooks-Potts' play in net, beats North York 2-1

Alex Brooks-Potts stood on his head and made 26 saves to lead the Kingston Voyageurs to a 2-1 victory over the North York Rangers.

Kingston was led by Spencer Green, who had one goal. Green scored 14:55 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Kingston. Adam Moodie picked up the assist.

The Voyageurs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three North York power plays. Kingston forced North York goalie Jason Pucciarelli to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Kingston also got a goal from Brett Seney as well. In addition, Kingston received assists from Mason Nowak, Patrick Volpe, and Alex Tonge, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers were held below their usual level of production. North York averages 3.3 goals per game.

The Rangers were led by Liam Kerins, who scored the team's only goal. Kerins scored 18:09 into the second period to make the score 1-0 North York. Valadao Adam provided the assist.

The Voyageurs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Pucciarelli rejected 38 shots on goal for North York. The Rangers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
