Behind a great game by Anthony Marra, who had one goal and two assists, the Georgetown Raiders defeated the Orangeville Flyers, 3-1. Marra scored on the power play 11:25 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Georgetown had taken the advantage when Orangeville's Austin Kozluk got sent off for roughing. Steve Hladin provided the assist. Marra dished an assist on Hladin's goal that made the score 1-0 Georgetown at 6:16 into the second period. He added another helper on Hladin's goal that made the score 3-1 Georgetown at 19:21 into the third period.The Raiders' Michael McNiven was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 28 saves and let only one puck past him. McNiven managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.03 prior to the game. Georgetown pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes. The Raiders stifled the Flyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Georgetown's offense rang up 41 shots on Orangeville's net. Georgetown additionally got points from Hladin, who also had two goals and one assist. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Liam Clare, who had one and Liam Board, who had two. The Flyers were led by Keegan Ackerland, who scored the team's only goal. Ackerland scored 7:42 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Raiders registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Georgetown ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Adam Nanji was ejected from the game. Wyatt Pickrell recorded 38 saves for Orangeville. The Flyers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
