Georgetown downs Pickering, 5-1

Ryan Smith racked up one point to lead the Georgetown Raiders to a 5-1 victory over the Pickering Panthers.

Georgetown's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Pickering power plays. The Raiders' offense rang up 41 shots on Pickering's net.

Anthony Marra also scored for Georgetown. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Steve Midensky, Scott Emerson, Richard Court, Liam Board, Phil Kiss, and Adam Nanji, who each chipped in one and Liam Clare and Steve Hladin, who contributed two a piece.

The Panthers' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Georgetown's power play unit.

Pickering was led by Mike Nedoszytko, who scored the team's only goal. Nedoszytko scored 14:02 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Sean Power provided the assist.

Michael Stiliadis recorded 23 saves for the Raiders. Georgetown incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Steven Dombrosky made 36 saves for the Panthers on 41 shots. Pickering incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
