Trenton downs Toronto, 8-4

Tyler Sehovic registered two points to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to an 8-4 victory over the Toronto Junior Canadiens.

Trenton forced Toronto's goalies to work without much rest, getting 36 shots and forcing 28 saves. Michael Bullion made 26 stops and Daniel Lopapa made two. The Golden Hawks' goal total was higher than their season average. Trenton averages 4.4 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Trenton additionally got points from Tyler Mayea, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Andrew McCann, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Danny Liscio, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Trenton also got a goal from Tyler Donaldson as well. More assists for Trenton came via Chrisitian Lloyd, who had three and Jason Zaleski, Nick Boddy, Nick Santoro, Ryan Kinsella, Brian Hurlimann, and Brady Wiffen, who each chipped in one.

The Junior Canadiens could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Toronto was helped by Daniel Harquail, who racked up one goal. Harquail scored 19:30 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Trenton. Anthony Repaci provided the assist. Toronto also got points from Will Lawrence, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Daniel Volpe, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mark Spadafora also scored for Toronto. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Aaron Thow, Kennedy Duguid, Connor Prudames, and Aaron Spivak, who contributed one a piece.

Emerson Verrier recorded 15 saves for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Junior Canadiens registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Toronto, Jake Walman was ejected from the game.
