Even with Mathew Thompson's three points, the Orangeville Flyers fell 7-3 to the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. In a losing effort, Orangeville was led by Thompson, who racked up one goal and two assists. Thompson scored 5:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. Kyle Thacker assisted on the tally. Buffalo forced the Flyers goalie Taylor Welsh to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The Jr. Sabres were helped by Pat Egan, who registered one goal and one assist.
