Even with Mathew Thompson's three points, the Orangeville Flyers fell 7-3 to the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.

In a losing effort, Orangeville was led by Thompson, who racked up one goal and two assists. Thompson scored 5:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. Kyle Thacker assisted on the tally.

Buffalo forced the Flyers goalie Taylor Welsh to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

The Jr. Sabres were helped by Pat Egan, who registered one goal and one assist. Egan scored on the power play 3:55 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Buffalo. Buffalo had taken the advantage when Orangeville's Keegan Ackerland got sent off for holding stick. Ryan Schmelzer picked up the assist. Buffalo also got points from Schmelzer, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Max Mikowski, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Nico Gonzalez, who also had one goal and one assist. Buffalo also got a goal from Darren McCormick as well. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Nick Desimone, Ben Casale, Tim Kielich, and Jason Heerdt, who each chipped in one and Dennis Gilbert and Daniel Lafontaine, who contributed two a piece.

Angelpooulos Peter also scored for Orangeville. More assists for Orangeville came via Matt Mercer, who had one.

Joseph Pianta recorded 15 saves for the Jr. Sabres. Buffalo incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Taylor Welsh made 34 saves for the Flyers on 41 shots. Orangeville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
