Danny Liscio had two goals and two assists to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 6-2 victory over the Wellington Dukes. Liscio found the back of the net 6:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and again while 59 seconds into the third to make the score 5-2 Trenton.Wellington's power play was ineffective against Trenton's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Golden Hawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Trenton kept the Dukes' goalie busy throughout the game, and Adam Wood made 29 saves on 35 shots. Trenton also got points from Nick Santoro, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Trenton included Zach de Concilys, who had one and Andrew McCann, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Tyler Donaldson, Jason Zaleski, Bobby Polachek, Alan Boozer, Brian Hurlimann, and Brady Wiffen, who each chipped in one. Wellington forced the Golden Hawks goalie Denny Dubblestyne to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots. The Dukes were helped by Steven Deeg, who finished with one goal. Deeg scored 18:02 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. Erick Delaurentis provided the assist. Wellington also got a goal from Joe McKeown as well. More assists for Wellington came via Josh Supryka, Abbot Girduckis, and Maurizio Colella, who contributed one a piece. Trenton's Dubblestyne stopped 52 shots out of the 54 that he faced. The Golden Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Wellington incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Dukes ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mike Soucier was ejected from the game.
