Sean King had two goals to lead the Brockville Braves to a 5-1 victory over the Hawkesbury Hawks. King found the back of the net 12:51 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 15:20 into the second to make the score 3-1 Brockville.Brockville was led by goalie Andrew Pikul, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Pikul certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.01 entering the contest. The Braves put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hawkesbury to score on any of its four power plays. The Hawks were unable to stop Brockville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Braves eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Brockville also got points from Jack Billings, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Nathan Todd, who also had one goal and one assist, and Ryan Cusin, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Brockville received assists from Jonathan Power, who had two and Cory Wilson and Andrew Peski, who each chipped in one. Hawkesbury excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Hawks were led by Carl Faucher, who scored the team's only goal. Faucher scored 9:24 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Yanik Laliberte picked up the assist. Brockville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gunner Rivers rejected 28 shots on goal for Hawkesbury. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
