Rivers, Hawkesbury blank Smiths Falls, 4-0Smiths Falls Memorial Centre Tue, Feb 25, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Hawkesbury Hawks used a sparkling performance by Gunner Rivers to take down the Smiths Falls Bears, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Hawkesbury's 4-0 shutout victory. The Hawks were sparked by Carl Faucher, who registered one goal. Faucher scored 11:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Yanik Laliberte picked up the assist. Hawkesbury stifled Smiths Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hawkesbury also had goals scored by Jonathan Cyr, Francis Landers, and CJ Stubbs, who each put in one. In addition, Hawkesbury received assists from Simon Besner, Daniel Brickley, Curtis Colbary, and Andrew Reis, who each chipped in one. The Bears could not produce up to they normal offensive output.
