The Ottawa Senators were firing on all cylinders against the Kanata Stallions, and when the final buzzer sounded Senators emerged with an 8-1 win. Ottawa got the win behind a great game by Justin Charbonneau, who had two goals and one assist. Charbonneau scored the first of his two goals short handed at 14:04 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ottawa. The Senators found themselves down a man on Luc Deschamps's cross checking.
