The Carleton Place Canadians' Stephen Baylis had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 8-4 win over the Brockville Braves. Baylis scored on the power play 13:41 into the second period to make the score 5-0 Carleton Place. Carleton Place had gained a power play chance when Anthony Walsh was whistled for major penalty. Craig Pefley provided the assist. Baylis dished an assist on Pefley's goal that made the score 1-0 Carleton Place at 14:46 into the first period. He then added assists on Dylan Gareau's goal at 3:31 into the second and on Pefley's goal at 14:20 into the second.Brockville was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as the Canadians were able to score four times while on the power play. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 19:57 into the first period. Twenty fighting penalties were dished out along with 13 game misconducts. Carleton Place was often in penalty trouble, totaling 11 minors and five majors for 47 minutes in penalty time. The Canadians had been averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties per game. Brockville forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and seven majors for 57 minutes in penalty time. The Braves surpassed its season average of 26.0 penalty minutes per game. Brockville kept the Canadians' goalie busy throughout the game, and Guillaume Therien made 28 saves on 32 shots. The Braves were helped by Sean King, who had two goals. King scored the first of his two goals at 12:53 into the third period to make the score 7-2 Carleton Place. Jack Billings assisted on the tally. King's next tally made the score 8-4 Carleton Place with 3:16 left in the third period. Cory Wilson provided the assist. Brockville also got a goal from Nathan Todd as well. In addition, Brockville received assists from Jonathan Power, Brett Garvey, Michael Murray, Ryan Cusin, and Ryan Walter, who each chipped in one. Team's Larry Smith, Elias Ghantous, Tyson Stewart, Stephen Cooney, Andy Sturtz, and Evan Peterson were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Brockville registered one goal on six power play opportunities. For the Braves, Owen Gill, Brett Van Stralen, Ethan Weiss, Walsh, Hayden Hulton, Matthew Lourenco, and Andrew Peski were ejected from the contest.
