Ottawa survives penalties, beats Nepean, 6-1Jim Durrell Complex-Peplinski Wed, Feb 12, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Nepean Raiders failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Ottawa Senators shook off a number of penalties to win, 6-1. Ottawa was led by Michael Evelyn, who racked up one goal and one assist. Evelyn scored 3:17 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Ottawa. Ryan Collins picked up the assist. The Senators forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time.
