The Smiths Falls Bears were firing on all cylinders against the Brockville Braves, and when the final buzzer sounded Bears emerged with a 9-2 win. Alek Deblois was all over the ice for Smiths Falls, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Deblois scored 16:32 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Smiths Falls. Michael Buonincontri picked up the assist. The Bears outdid their season average for goals scored. Smiths Falls has scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign. The Bears capitalized on Brockville's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage. The defensemen of Smiths Falls were also effective in the Braves' zone, and came away with three goals. Smiths Falls also got points from Buonincontri, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Zachary Senyshyn, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Smiths Falls included Domenic Camastra and Victor Beaulac, who scored two goals each and Chris MacMillan and Chris King, who each put in one. King scored on the power play 1:12 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Smiths Falls. Hayden Hulton assisted on the tally. Nathan Todd also scored for Brockville. More assists for Brockville came via Eric Israel, Brett Garvey, and Ryan Cusin, who each chipped in one. Smiths Falls incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Andrew Pikul took the loss and made 17 saves before being replaced by David Poirier who made three saves. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
