Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Gloucester Rangers defeated the Cumberland Grads in a shootout 4-3 (2-0 SO). The shootout lasted for four attempts between the teams. In addition to the clincher, Gloucester got a shootout goal from Maximian Veronneau.The Rangers got the win thanks to a great game by Veronneau, who had one goal and two assists. Veronneau scored 5:39 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Gloucester. Greg Jansz picked up the assist. Gloucester's offense rang up 32 shots on Cumberland's net. Gloucester also had goals scored by Matt Rosebrook and Vincent Guimond, who scored one goal each. More assists for Gloucester came via Matthieu Desautels, who had one. The Rangers were unable to stop the Grads from sending pucks towards the net, and Cumberland eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Grads were led by Travis Douglas, who had one goal and one assist. Douglas scored 3:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Riley Hennigar assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Cumberland included David Bennett and Bobby Williams, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Cumberland were Cameron Roth, Tyler Pancel, Maxime St.Pierre, and Mark Golberg, who each chipped in one. Gloucester's Doug Johnston stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Reilly Turner recorded 28 saves for Cumberland. The Grads incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
