Brockville downs Hawkesbury in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Brockville Braves' Cory Wilson scored 3:06 into overtime to beat the Hawkesbury Hawks, 4-3 (OT).

Brockville was sparked by Wilson, who finished with one goal and one assist.

The Braves' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Hawkesbury power plays. Brockville forced Hawkesbury goalie JP Sabourin to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Others who scored for Brockville included Nathan Todd, Sean King, and Ryan Walter, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Hayden Hulton, who had two and Owen Gill, Eric Israel, Brett Garvey, and Andrew Peski, who each chipped in one.

The Hawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances.

Hawkesbury was helped by Hugo Petit, who tallied one goal. Petit scored 13:25 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nicolas Vlahos picked up the assist. Hawkesbury also got points from Zach Car, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Maxime Choquette also scored for Hawkesbury. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Michael Guerrera, who had one.

David Poirier made 26 saves for the Braves on 29 shots. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Sabourin rejected 40 shots on goal for the Hawks. Hawkesbury incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Hawks, Daniel Brickley was ejected from the game.
