A stellar performance between the pipes by Guillaume Therien helped the Carleton Place Canadians defeat the Pembroke Lumber Kings, 6-1. Carleton Place's penalty kill excelled, as the Canadians gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays. Carleton Place was led by Anthony McVeigh, who racked up one goal. McVeigh scored short handed 18:17 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Carleton Place. A roughing call on Elias Ghantous put the Canadians on the penalty kill. Stephen Bayliss picked up the assist. Carleton Place could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game. Carleton Place additionally got points from Larry Smith, who also had one goal and one assist and Andy Sturtz, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Carleton Place also got a goal from Evan Peterson as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Kelly Summers, who had two and Vinny Post and Brett DAndrea, who contributed one a piece.
