The Kemptville 73s and the Brockville Braves were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Kemptville made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Brandon Seatter at 15:27 of the second period. Brockville's power play was ineffective against the 73s' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Kemptville was paced by Seatter, who racked up one goal. The 73s' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Brockville power plays. The Braves were unable to stop Kemptville from sending pucks towards the net, and the 73s eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Kemptville was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. Kemptville also had goals scored by Olivier Chabot, Daniele Disipio, and Matt Tugnutt, who each put in one. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Aaron Hickie, C Quinn, Alex Row, and Dylan Giberson, who contributed one a piece and Cody Hendsbee and Dean Galasso, who each chipped in two. Brockville's offense rang up 42 shots on the 73s' net. The Braves were helped by Jesse Langan, who grabbed one goal. Langan scored 2:04 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Kemptville. Cory Wilson picked up the assist. Others who scored for Brockville included Eric Israel and Nathan Todd, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Jonathan Power, Sean King, and Brett Garvey, who contributed one a piece. Matt Couvrette recorded 39 saves for Kemptville. The 73s registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Kemptville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Chabot was ejected from the game. Brockville's Andrew Pikul stopped 31 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Braves ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. For Brockville, Andrew Jarvis was ejected from the game.
